Heritage Christian Academy, established in January 2008, is an interdenominational Christian school serving grades pre-kindergarten through eight.
Our school operates from two campuses located in Sylva, North Carolina. The lower grades study at First United Methodist Church downtown, the upper grades at Alliance Bible Church on North River Rd.

Heritage Christian Academy’s intent is to provide a private school option that emphasizes areas of academics in which the country, in general, has lagged.
This emphasis in math, science and foreign language is integrated with spiritual truths that are found through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The prayer, goal and vision of Heritage Christian Academy is to prepare men and women who will carry throughout their lives the banner of Christ because of a personal relationship with Jesus, a knowledge of His Word, a Christian world view and a vision of how God can use them to change the lives of others.
We strive to equip them academically, socially, and emotionally to articulate and defend their faith and become servants and leaders in their chosen vocations.
We believe that the primary responsibility to prepare our children to carry Christ’s banner is the parent thus, while students are at school, the staff of HCA will be working as an extension of the family.
