Our Mission…

Heritage Christian Academy and its partner families aspire to biblically challenge students to honor Christ through academic excellence and exemplary citizenship.

HCA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), tax exempt organization for both federal and state tax purposes.  Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Dress Code


Heritage students are expected to dress modestly and in good taste. Students must be neat, clean and well groomed at all times – during and after school hours – while on campus and at all school-related functions. It is important that students keep in mind they serve as ambassadors for Heritage Christian Academy.  In keeping with these principles, students at Heritage Christian Academy are required to wear a prescribed dress code, and every student who accepts a place in Heritage’s student body agrees to abide by the dress code guidelines.  It is recommended that clothing be purchased at Lands End in order to keep all colors consistant especially the colors Cobalt & Maize.


RUGBY (Boys)

Polo Shirts

  • Purchased through Land’s End.
  • Short-sleeved and long-sleeved; either mesh or interlock
  • Colors:  White, Cobalt, Classic Navy, Maize
  • Must be tucked in (exception for K-2)

Sweaters and Vests

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice
  • Crewneck, V-neck, button or zip-front cardigan
  • Colors: Classic Navy, Maize

Pants

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice.    
  • Parents who use other vendors need to be careful to purchase the correct colors and styles.
  • Khaki and Classic Navy (No Stone or Cement Colors)
  • Flat front, pleated, or elastic
  • Cuffed or not cuffed
  • No Cargo pockets

Shorts

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice.         
  • Parents who use other vendors need to be careful to purchase the correct colors and styles.
  • Khaki and Classic Navy (No Stone or Cement Colors)
  • Flat front, pleated, or elastic
  • Within two inches of knee
  • No cargo pockets

Belts

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice.
  • Boys in grades (3-8) are expected to wear belts with any pants or shorts with belt loops.
  • Simple flat or braided belts in solid brown, black, navy, khaki, or cordovan

Socks

  • Purchased through vendor of your choice.
  • Crew socks or “half socks”
  • Colors:  Solid colors in white, cream, tan, classic navy, black or brown


RUGBY (Girls)

  • Crewneck, v-neck, turtleneck
  • Button or zip-front cardigan (hood allowed), fine-gauge cardigan (no shells), ruffle-front cardigan
  • Colors:  Classic Navy, Maize, White

Pants

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice.       
  • Parents who use other vendors need to be careful to purchase correct khaki colors.
  • Khaki and Classic Navy chinos (no stone or cement colors)
  • At waist or slightly below
  • Flat front, pleated, or elastic
  • Cuffed or not cuffed
  • Cropped pants (Capri) are an option
  • No cargo pockets

Belts

  • Girls in grades 3-8 must wear belts whenever belt loops are visible because the shirt is tucked in.
  • Simple flat or braided belts in brown, black, navy, khaki, cordovan, or D-ring belt in navy or classic navy plaid

Socks

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice.
  • Crew socks, “footies”, knee socks, or tights (no leggings)
  • Colors:  Solid colors in white, cream, tan, classic navy, black or brown

Boys and Girls

Shoes

  • Purchased through Land’s End or vendor of your choice.
  • Foot wear should be close-toed, full-backed shoes or sneakers which stay secure during physical activity.
  • Please NO…“Zany” patterns, BOOTS of any kind, neon or bright colors, glitter, embellishments, Croc-type, or flip-flops.
  • If your child must wear rain or snow boots boot to please send the appropriate school shoe and socks in their backpack.

Outerwear

  • Students may wear weather-appropriate outerwear to school. (Winter coats, gloves, scarves, hats, rainwear, etc.)  It is expected that these items are to be removed once inside the classroom, thus leaving the student wearing what is acceptable as specified by the dress code.

Sweatshirts

  • In the classroom students may wear hooded pullover, hooded zip front, or a crewneck sweatshirt.  The hood must remain down once inside the school AND THEY MUST BE DRESS CODE APPROPRIATE and free of any graphics and/or labels.
  • Colors: Classic Navy and Gray Heather, *Logo optional

Fleece

  • Vest, Half-zip, or zip front jacket
  • Color:  Classic Navy, Logo optional

Rugby

  • (Purchased through Land’s End only)
  • Colors:  Classic Navy, Maize, Cobalt. Logo optional


All Students

  • All Students are expected to honor the integrity and intent of the Heritage Christian Academy Standard Code of Dress. The administration will make final decisions on all matters regarding dress appearance that are not specifically stated in this document.  All clothing and shoes must be clean and in good repair.
